RAMAX Group has automated the issuance of sick leaves for the Medical Center of PJSC "Aeroflot" based on SAP HCM
PJSC "Aeroflot" has completed a digital project to create and issue electronic sick lists based on SAP HCM for its Medical Center.
Until mid-2020, the process of issuing disability certificates was carried out manually — the Medical Center, which is part of Aeroflot, printed disability certificates on paper, and the accounting department performed the reception of sick leave from the company's employees, entering into the accounting system, calculating and transferring documents to the FSS. This process required a large amount of time and did not exclude the "human factor" when re-entering data.
"An important goal of the project was to reduce labor costs and costs associated with the registration and administration of paper sick leave, as well as to eliminate the influence of the" human factor", — commented Irina Nikolaeva, Chief Accountant of PJSC Aeroflot. — In addition, we were preparing for the transition to" direct payments " from the FSS and in advance sought to increase the transparency of the movement of the disability certificate for both the Social Insurance Fund and for each employee. As a result, a unique project was implemented that allowed Aeroflot to seamlessly and automatically establish information exchange with the FSS, flexibly responding to the regularly updated requirements of this organization for document management. Taking into account that more than 70% of the disability certificates submitted for payment were issued by its own Medical Center, Aeroflot received another bonus from the implementation: it successfully switched to "Direct Payments" from January 1, 2021 without additional costs."
A special feature of the project was the implementation of the author's methodology SAP-AcceleratedSAP (ASAP). It assumes a structured approach that accelerates implementation and provides effective user training, provides comprehensive documentation and templates at all stages of the project.
"In the process of implementing the project, the team overcame a number of difficulties, in particular, we faced a large amount of testing of the functionality using the contour of the FSS of the Russian Federation, with constant changes in the requirements of the department. The implementation of such a large project with medical specifics was carried out by us for the first time, so it required a deep study of the solution together with specialists and doctors of the Aeroflot Medical Center, " said Nikita Zhuravsky, Project Director for the RAMAX Group.
In the future, the new system will automate the registration process and automatically send to the FSS data on paper sick leave issued to employees of PJSC Aeroflot by third-party medical organizations.
"Today, airlines are experiencing difficult times. The restrictions associated with the pandemic have seriously affected the industry and the number of shipments. Despite everything, Aeroflot continues to implement digital projects for its employees. And this shows that the company sees the importance and necessity of implementing technologies that will be a serious help for gradually overcoming all unforeseen difficulties, " said Alexey Leontovich, Deputy General Director of SAP CIS.
