Development of a mobile application for trading SKYSHOP and SKYCAFE goods aboard an aircraft
“RAMAX International”, part of RAMAX Group, has developed a software facility “Mobile application for trading SKYSHOP and SKYCAFE goods aboard an aircraft” for JSC “Aeromar”.
Development of the mobile application (for iOS devices with possible extension to Android) and integration with the customer’s ERP and systems of PJSC “Aeroflot.”

As part of the project, “RAMAX International” experts developed a full-scale backend system based on Aeromar’s cloud data and integrated it with the sales reporting unit.

The solution is implemented on a cloud analytical platform that combines the planning, business analytics, and forecasting analysis functions.

“RAMAX International” experts implemented the option to send data on sales to a customer’s backend system both via a notebook GSM transmitter and via Wi-Fi.

Onboard services are now provided faster.

The amount of data to be accounted increased significantly (data became more comprehensive).

Flight attendants can now monitor various metrics: see the flight number and seat of a specific passenger, record her/his personal data when selling goods onboard, support promo actions (“1+1”, discount, etc.).

Flight attendants and customers are now better informed about goods.

Payments are now made faster and can be made in various currencies on international flights.

Products can be selected from a catalog using a QR code or barcode.

The results obtained can be used to develop a similar mobile application for passengers of railway, sea, and river transport.

Services are now provided and payments are collected (especially in more than one currency) faster, and the accuracy of financial operations aboard is enhanced. An important issue should be stressed: the data to be accounted after the end of sales are now much more complete. Attendants no longer need to spend significant time to manually fill in documents at the end of the flight.”
